It’s Time for Americans to Grow Up – Act like Adults – Put Childish Ways Behind Us . . . Our Democracy Demands It

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became an adult, I spoke, thought, reasoned and put the ways of childhood behind me – and mutually expected the same by fellow adults – by fellow citizens – fellow human beings.

Each vote is dependent on the maturity of each voter as an adult – not a child.

Our Democracy demands the maturity of each citizen to defend and protect it.

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
— E.E. Cummings

Discourse with Mutual Respect, Dignity and Integrity ~ Humanizing Norms When Discussing Diversity

“When you want wisdom and insight as badly as you want to breathe, it is then you shall have it. There is no greater evil one can suffer than to hate reasonable discourse. To express oneself badly is not only faulty as far as the language goes but does some harm to the soul.”

The Ugly American in New Duds ~ But Same Stench and Out of Step

The Ugly American in New Duds ~ But Same Stench and Out of Step

There are some commonalities among Americans.
Some say that taxes and death are two.
My dad provided another that has kept me humble.
He simply said, “Just remember that your ‘mierda’ (poop) stinks just as much as anyone else’s.”
By the way, yours does too.
But please, don’t make a pie out of it!
